What engine is it for? Does it have hour meter? In which case lcd or old style?
I may have one for a TMD41a with old type hour meter somewhere, one of mine failed and rather than buy a matching pair I paid a fraction for a pair of wema ones.

873998 has been replaced by 23715874
Try Volspec or Google the part number for possible other suppliers
It is not cheap. Are you sure its the tacho that's defective and not some other malfunction

Honestly don’t know I have twin tamd63p and I switched out the tachometers ond I know for sure it’s a bad tach

The wema tacho I got just needed an o-ring round it to fit nicely centred in the dash hole, wiring was an easy conversion going to the volvo tach connector.
