Does a Perkins 103-10 cylinder head fit on a Volvo MD2030D?

On my Volvo penta MD2030D, the cylinder head cracked in three places and I need to replace it. I got the information for the cylinder head from Perkins 103-10 answers on my engine. I was reading an article written by Geoff Higginbottom, where the author replaces a cylinder head on a Volvo engine with a Perkins replacement part. The only thing that is not specified is which perkins engine fits the MD2030 cylinder head.

Are all Volvos originally Perkins engines?
My engine is a Penta which was originally a Peugeot Indentor..

Once you get away from marine suppliers prices get more appealing....

It's the same as the Perkins Perama M30.

I think they are the same engine, just rebadged. Quite a job getting a decent replacement head at a reasonable price.

Saw this lad advertising lots of engines today on ebay. Know nothing about him. But might be worth a try for a head.

Yes The Perkins 103 10 is the same engine as the Volvo 2030.

Originally some of vp engines were made by them, then they used a Peugeot engine, the one with an alloy head, yours? Then they started using Perkins. The 20X0 range are Perkins as are the D range based on the Perkins 400 range
