Hi!
So I recently boat a Dufour 36 Classic with a VP 2030MD.

There is no sound (beep) from the control panel.
I tried the following:

Engine on button
Switch the rocker switch down (Test Alarm)
No sound

How is it supposed to work and does somebody know what to look at?
The error lights (battery, heating, oil) seem to be working, just no sound at all.

Maybe just the beeper not working or maybe a fault in the electronics.

It should sound when the alarm test is pressed, and on low oil pressure or high temperature occurring while the engine is running The clever electronics prevent it sounding during normal start up and shut down as happens with lesser engines.
It is all explained in your owners manual.

If you short the low oil pressure alarm sensor or the high temperature alarm sensor to earth ( or to negative if you have an engine with an isolated electrical system ) while the engine is running does the alarm sound?

( the preheat indication light is independent of the other warning lights and the audible alarm)

This is the circuit diagram of the electronic module .... of interest only as it is not serviceable but you can see that it should be possible to check the voltage applied to the beeper when the alarm test is pressed
