I have just refitted a volvo md2020b into a Dufour 28, and now it seems to overheat and puffs black soot out the exhaust with the water when revved hard and also seems to produce steam with the exiting water, the over temp beeper sounds on hard throttle and again when back on tickover,
The engine was removed to fit a new sump pan and exchanger gasket and everything appears to be correctly refited, the pump impeller seems a bit softer than a new one but is all intact, intake and pipes and strainer all clear, any ideas?
