Hi Vyv so it's about the difference in the thickness of the tube and the flange.

My injection I Made from stainless 316L and the flange is about 5 mm and my tube is schedule 40 60mm dia so much thicker than the 2 mm in your link and more compatible with the flange thickness and I have had no issue with cracking

Yes that is a solution. Probably the reason that cast elbows last well by comparison with fabricated original equipment ones
