Good day everyone! My story is primarily addressed to Volvo Penta dealers or customers who know anything about the DPH - IPS conversion.
On my boat, the IPS500 engines with EVC-C system were installed, then the captain started the engines without oil, at the moment when the boat was in the process of maintanance and changing the engine oil. Both engines were very badly damaged.
At this point, a friend of mine was selling two of the same engines from his old boat with only 120 hours each. I bought these two D6 370AB with EVС-D engines from him and decided to upgrade the entire system from the EVС-С analog to EVС-D, new throttles with HCU and joysticks were purchased from the official dealer, new EVC-D steering motors were also purchased to upgrade IPS units, resolvers, new cover with speed sensor, new hydraulic valves and wiring from engines to IPS units. All of this has been installed. An official dealer came to upgrade the software and problems began, the old engines were previously used with DPH and it is impossible to update the ENGINE PCU with their chasis is to the software for working with IPS units, new motors are also without software, new handles are also without software. The old engines chassis number is EVC-C system, so I can't use it for the update either.
Can you tell me how I can update the transmission - engine configuration in my current chassis number?
Is it possible to get a new chassis number? What are my options? What to do? Help me please.
Old chassis number from my boat before the engine change:
VV006017798 UMS-S
Chassis number with DPH engines
VV030009/VV030008
Thank you guys!
