Hello All, Just wondering what what these engines were like for routine servicing and other work. The engine room seems a bit cramped.

For jobs such as port engine impeller change; port engine heat exchanger cleaning; starboard engine starter motor change; starboard engine aftercooler cleaning; are these do-able by a VP service agent or does the boat need to be taken apart £££?

Any help appreciated. Thanks, John

Wellcome to the way boats have been fitted out for last 50years
it’s not exclusive to Volvo and even engine components there are many bits that if the same ingenuity was expended in hiding them was used in making them accessible life would be so much easier
of course if owners were as determined to make it otherwise rather than wanting as much quart stuffed in their pint pots it could be different
from experience it is not the poor maintenance man that is very high on design essentials

Rant over
