Hi
Looking at fitting a new VP D1-30. I have an existing 130s sail drive fitted we hitch is only 10 years old and giving no problems

Has anybody done this and do they fit together with no modifications?

The new engine is listed in VPs brochure as having a 130s fitted, but need to know that Volvo haven’t changed anything.
The drive was serviced last winter and diaphragm changed.
Thanks

What was the old engine?
You may need to get an adaptor kit with different feet to match your existing setup.

Easiest thing to do is call a VP dealership & get their advice, they should be able to tell you immediately.

As others have said - I think you will need an adaptor, as far as I know its just money - no other implications. If you are buying a new D1-30 the people selling to you will know chapter and verse and if you are having it fitted professionally the fitter will also know.

From memory the D1-30 has a bigger alternator than the 2030, make sure the fitter knows how to connect up the bigger alternatives to your battery charging system. The D1-30 uses special coolant, don't think you can use any left over from the 2030.

Normally its a simple swap.

Odd to have two threads at the same time....

It seems I am incorrect and that an adaptor is not needed.
