Volvo penta A5 original or aftermarket?

Hi there sailors, has anyone tried replacing worn original v.penta propellors with aftermarket ones, as volvo penta ones are ridiculously priced . Did any who did this loose performance? Which brands would u suggest? Thanks for any feedback anyone can give me on the matter .

I did buy some aftermarket props with no issues.
Can't recall a particular brand.

Keypart do some good aftermarket ones, I bought a pair and no issues at all.

Yes, I have been using aftermarket Volvo Props since 2010 and are just the same as the Volvo originals in terms of performance and perhaps more durable. If I recall correctly before Volvo went to J series props ,the blades on the aftermarket equivalent were stronger. The hub on the J series has no flexibility hence if you hit something the shock goes through the outdrive gear box instead of the prop hub, not the case with aftermarket I use (when I last checked).

Brands: Powertech which I don't think are available anymore, I am using Michigans at the moment, been on this set for at least 4 years without issue. I get a good price from Streamlined Propellers.
