Volvo Penta 2003 Seized after winter ashore

In post 1, the OP said the engine was working fine before being laid up ashore. Then apparently it wasn't working.
That would depend on the volume of seawater seeping in and how long it has been leaking before winter layup. Only a small volume of saltwater needed to seize the pistons. You would need a large leak to drown the engine. It would be a pity to do all that work just to have it get stuck again. The OP did not say that the reason was found and fixed. My friend who works as a boat mechanic have had some case like this over the years...
An none working anti siphon valve will in most cases drown the engine immediately.
