Disco

Strange you say that but a load of my friends all bought Disco's about the same time a few years ago and all sold within a year. Not one good report.
Still the new ones may be better - what age is your brothers

Re: Disco

Oh it's sort of brand new, a "51" as he calls it. First registered Christmas time I think, but he's only had it two weeks. Its a Series 2 TD5, with 2,500 miles on it for £25K. Bloke who bought it new decided after he'd got it that he didn't like black. My bro's already decided that he don't like black either, but loves the "lorry" otherwise. This is the fourth Disco he's had so can't be all bad can they? Apart from servicing costs. The only reason he changed from his last one (Xor Y reg), was he had a big service coming up and also needed four new tyres so thought he was looking at around £1,200-1,500 so decided on a change instead. I think RR take lessons from Vlovov in that respect.

Disco magic!

We hired a new 5 cylinder diesel to take the new engines to Portugal, the only thing wrong was we only had a low speed trailer, we had on the back, 2 new 75p vp engines and boxes, 2 props 2 shafts, all the tools, 2 new fridges, 40 litres oil and 2 full sets of filters 50 litres of antifreeze, and a sky digibox and saucer, all up it weighed 6.5 tons now thats illegal but it still towed it all like a train, we could not go above 50 mph because the tyres on the trailer kept blowing out, it even flew over the mountains from Santander to Madrid no probs overtaking trucks etc, so a good product in my eyes, shame the old one was a load of crap.

Oh and now its back on the forcourt of a Landrover dealer near you, not saying where but its on a new reg and its black, so buyers beware.

Re: Disco magic!

6.5 tons, now that's some gouing. Bet it was bugger going uphill. But how can they put it on a new reg? Did you take it trade plates or what?

Mebbe it's the one my bro bought?

So what broke on it or what fell off? They've got a bit of a reputation for being a bit "tender" when it comes to the add on gizmo's don't they?
