I got 30 years out of my original one....you can still get the original one from Volvo...just be sure when you winterise to flush through with antifreeze so the jacket doesn t freeze.

Most marine type stainless steel fabricators are well used to making this sort of thing. I paid £75 for mine some six years ago- very much less than the Volvo rubbish casting replacement, and it's been worth every penny. Who made it? sorry but he's emigrated with all the loot from his cash jobs.

This was covered in an article in PBO no 364, April 1997 - worth getting a copy of. I got one last year from SAL Marine, Mill Lane, Lymington, Hants SO41 9AZ (01590 679588) Great product. I think it was around £90 compared to £140 for the cast iron Volvo item.
