Volvo MD1 - ignition warning light

The ignition warning light on my Volvo MD1 which forms part of the alternator field circuit has failed. This 14V 2.5W SC screw lamp is not listed in the Lucas catalogue. Any ideas where I may obtain a replacement?

It is 12 volt.

Thanks for prompt reply; but the lamp clearly saya VTY 14V 2.5W.

I suspect it's lasted for years and was a bit dim when alight. It should be 12 volt, that's what's in mine anyway

12 volts will be perfectly Ok. You should be able to get one from a car sares shop, even Halfords The watts will not be critical but get as close as you can as the current flowing through the bulb is the initial field current for the alternator. You will certainly be able to get 2.2watts.

Maplin also have them if your have a handy Maplin shop.

IF you are absolutely determined to get another 14 volt one then you will get them from Alampco

The fitting size will now be described as E10 I think you will find (Thats the old screw in torch bulb size)
