Volvo Kad42 and Kad43 difference

to the Volvo experts on the board
what's the difference between these 2 engines

Proper experts will be along in a minute

Think there was a differance and modification in the cylinder head, they also had the upgraded water pump and supercharger belt tensioners (old type was 2 allan keys new one is bolt with locking nut)
Also differance in supercharger silencer (same as Kad44)

Sure there will be more

i think main one is upgraded headgasket, but there is more i am sure, a 43 is supposed to but 10bhp more and slightly queiter

can any one confirm if KAD43 is 4 valve or 2 per cylinder

KAD43 is a 24valve if memory serves (6 cyl)

= 4 valves per cylinder

KAD 44 is 4 valves/cyl IIRC (or is it KAD 300)??

Apologies, I was getting confused between 43 / 44
