We have a Sealine 33 with twin KAD32. When the starboard engine reaches around 2100rpm the main relay on top of the engine cuts out and needs to be reset. Does not happen every time I go out, but very annoying as you lose all the electrics on that engine including tabs and instruments. Easy to re-set but not when you are at sea! Why does it happen and what can I check? Any help would be appreciated.

Had this problem on my F33. Especially when the weather was very hot.

I was led to believe that Sealine fitted larger overloads to boats destined for the med, but cannot confirm this.

I overcame the difficulty by using the fan/blower more often.

Good luck

Used to happen to me on one of my Kad 42`s. Turned out the wiring to the supercharger clutch had lost its insulation and was shorting out on the bracket. Worth a look.

I assume you have no other faults apart from the one you mention that might be part of the story.
To isolate the problem I would disconnect the supercharger connection (short lead from supercharger) and go for an engine run, if the CB trips then usually it will point to a short circuit in the engine speed relay - you could swop the one from your other engine if it does. If it doesn't blow it points to the supercharger magnetic clutch,or as already mentioned a break down in the insulation of the cable. I hope this is of some help.
