Whilst chatting to a fellow boater the other day he gave me something new to worry about. When he last has is engines serviced (TAMD61) the mechanic checked the intercoolers and found one had water where it shouldn't be due to some seals failing. He said if it had filled up it would mean a new engine! I presume that would be due to the water going straight in to the cylinders. Do other forum members check theirs? I looked at the top of mine TAMD41A's and before i take the top off i wondered what the seal is like as i guess there's a fair bit of pressure in there. Once the tops are off is it fairly obvious if you have a problem ?

Your safe , the 41 cooler has as small condensate drain hole at the bottom do unless it has a major leak your ok . The 61/63 /74/75 series motor doesn't have this .
