Engines D13 -900. I have just had the Heat Exchangers replaced and the engines serviced. When I start them up, the port engine shows a fault on the EVC Display as per the attached picture.

I have told the engineers who undertook the work but would like to know myself - I cannot make sense of the manual.

Thank you in advance.

Might be the same as for the Volvo 13L Truck Engine, in which case

MID (Message Identification Description) 128, PID (Parameter Identification Description) 94 = "Fuel Delivery Pressure"
FMI (Failure Mode Identifier) 7 = "Mechanical Fault"

Hopefully just a duff sensor somewhere?

Andrew,

As I have said before I am no Green engine man, however PID's and FMI's are generic SAE J1939 codes, detail of code in down to individual manuafacturer.

PID 9X codes all relate to fuel injection problems, generally detecting system leakage.
FMI 6 is a mechanical system NOT responding properly.

All a bit finger in the air, but sounds like somthing on the fuel system side has not been nailed back together properly.

I'm surprised a full sea trial was not carried out afterbsuch serious engine work, if the job had gone wrong ie water in the cylinders after due to a faulty intercooler , all faults should have been read during the trial and after before the jobs signed off, if this fault has appeared straight after the work the fault has been left in the ecu.
