Our local day centre now has 3 boats for use by the clients (physically disabled adults). We have a shortage of competent helmspersons (is that really a word?) and are looking for volunteers. It would involve giving one or two days a year.
The main need is for helms for the Drascombe Longboat yawl and sometimes the outboard-powered 'wheelyboat'. The location is Siblyback lake near Liskeard. We sail on about 20 midweek days between May and September.

p.s. it isn't always necessary to have a CRB check for occasional volunteer work.
