Maxwell,
If it only comes up a few PSI wet then it sounds like Valves to me, if it was
rings I'd have expected to see 150-180ish.
Heads are easier to lift than engines.

Keyparts

I don't begrudge anyone making a profit, 'cos thats how I get to go boating.

However, I think Keyparts have more of an eye on the Volvo prices when they set the price of their 'equivalent' parts, than wot they actually pay for them.

For example, filters (2 X Fuel and 1 X Oil) for my modest Volvo 2002 are £10 to £12 with Volvo stamped on them, £8 to £10 for some obscure brand from Keyparts, and £1.59 each for FRAM filters from my local auto factors.

P'raps I will set up a stall in the V O A virtual club house!

Anyone can join but its primarily a mutual info and support site for Volvo Penta engine and equipment owners - power or sail. As a motorboat owner you may well find it helpful - even if you havent got a green or red one (yet!).
The site has already been picked up by the search engines ( ' volvo penta users' brings volpen up as top 2 sites on bot yahoo and google ) and people joining have found us this way as wella s by magazine mentions and word of mouth. Membership now includes folk from USA /Far East/Europe/Scandinavia and Australia
