Does anyone have any knowledge of these people?

They offer a set of UK charts & Seaclear on a DVD for 30-odd inc P&P. Since I have a spare laptop and have just been given a USB GPS, that would make a cheap plotter if the charts are any good. They claim to be corrected to July and fit for navigation.

I know it'll eat far too many amps, but on a Snapdragon, I usually have the engine running if I want to get anywhere, so it isn't too much of a problem.

I know the product well having been a beta tester of it!

It works as advertised and it's relatively cheap

I haven't (yet) tried the new USB dongle version but it should overcome the one drawback (due to the intervention of the encryption/protection software insisted upon by the UKHO) of not being able to easily save routes in Seaclear - that can be worked around but its a pain

I shall be switching to the USB version for 2011, not much point at this late stage this year

I have the dongle version and it works perfectly on my newer XP laptop and also my desktop. There does seem to be problem (which VMH are aware of) on computers which may originally have had Win2000 installed and were subsequently updated to XP.
Maybe also machines which originally had a 'one-time-choice' COA of either 2000 or XP. (I have the problem on an older laptop).

The original dongle software has the problem of not saving waypoints/routes, but VMH have offered to update these free.
