This year we have paid £80 for a berth in Brixham which is the highest this year ,for a 42ft . I see some one has paid £50 for a 30ft at Bucklers Hard. What have you paid , please say if its low charge.

Rieux, on the Vilaine River, charged me 11.70euros per night recently. My boat is 28 feet LOA.

That included electricity, water, and use of showers.

Mind you, it was the high season so prices are probably lower now.

If you go to Brixham enough you do get points discount on the MDL scheme I have found . It might be pricy but at least you don’t have to walk ashore to find a Torquay drug culture

Your anchor is indeed your friend if you want to save money.

That said when compared to some Mediterranean cruising grounds I do think we are spoiled in the UK particularly when you consider the facilities offered.

Porto Cervo, €3500 / night for a 108ft

More than triple the price of anywhere else we went this summer
Same here … Porto Cervo was by far the most expensive place we visited at €600/night in late July. They were kind and only charged the 18m/4.7m rate even though we were slightly over on both LOA and beam. Full rate should have been €900/night. After this, the next most expensive was Saint Tropez at €330/night.

How much was an evening out meal?

fwiw (ok, not much) Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonnisos ports in Sporades (North West Aegean) ranged from 9 to 13euro a night for a 13m boat. Stern to only using your anchor, no el. or water (don't want them). Effectively it's port dock, not a marina.
In the Ionian a cousin paid close to 50euro a night in some spots for a 45ft sailboat, doubt it was a proper marina though...

Tricky one this .
We book a 15 m x 4.5 ahead .On arrival lad in rib directs us to berth .Boat fits nicely.
Some time later I wonder into the office file in hand and stand in the queue.
When it’s my turn tip out the reg docs / insurance etc .We are 14.7 M according to the builder , it’s hand book all it’s papers conveniently on the boat .

The U.K. reg doc says L 13.1 M Kind Lady taps that into the computer and I pay on that .
That’s the WL L .How that got on the UK reg doc as max L or what ever who knows ? I recall sending them various docs , or copies when initially reg d it .Not guilty I plead from my pov folks .It’s Cardiff your honour 🤗

So I feel we are always undercharged.
€80_140 around the CdA and Liguria. With the exception of Portofino circs €350 .
Even St Trop €80 mid May .

Its a double edged sword btw .If we arrive on spec , no one’s picking up on the VHF , so I park at the empty fuel berth while wifey runs into the office , tips said file out .Pays up .Strolls back all smiley face “ we are in “ clasping a mapette of the marina with a circle scribbled around a berth .Then this has happens = lad in rib escorts us ( to do the lazy line ) …
we end up going down ever decreasing aisles , it’s pretty obvious when we arrive at the circled berth it’s too small the boat can’t fit .
A quick radio call to office and they find a bigger berth that works .
But we have already squared up on the reg dock figure .
A few times we ended up in 20 M berths paying a 13 M tariff .Not without hassle as a sparky is needed to convert the 64 A plug to my 32 A .But we don’t complain .

We think we are under charged .

It used to be common to have reciprocal agreements with other private boat clubs regards a night or two free mooring for visitors, this now appears to have fallen by the wayside.

£1.10 a foot (approx) is the most I have paid so far .
I am clearly boating in less glamorous locations than most other folks.

But Allington needs a days license which is another £33.
