Some years ago, we had a very good meal at the Crown and Anchor at Dell Quay, and we're thinking about returning, this time by boat, so a couple of questions

Is the food still as good?

Can we anchor nearby (draft 70cms) and be sure to get back to the boat?

Thanks in advance

Food good but pricey.

Anchor how near and for how long? If it's just over high tide you'd be better off on the Public Pontoon to the North of the Quay. If you plan to dry out you'd be better off staying on the pontoon or use the DQSC visitor mooring which is right next to the club pontoon.

We like to anchor off Old Park woods, just north and west of the entrance channel to Chichester marina. We properly dry out on the mud there but a good spot to then dinghy to the pub at HW. I also have a memory of picking up a mooring much closer and having a very squidgy walk returning to the boat, and telling my wife not to look down , as she's somewhat phobic of crabs..... Great pub location, and a lot of people know it, haven't eaten there for ages but worth the visit whatever, just not Sunday lunchtime maybe. Mark-1's local knowledge is probably the best. Quite a busy little area with moorings.
