As anywhere in the Balearics, visitor moorings are very scarce and often expensive in high season in Menorca but there are a few places you can moor cheaply. Mahon is a superb natural harbour and anchoring in the harbour is very secure. There are also some floating pontoons in the middle of the harbour which have electricity and water but no other facilities but are cheaper than the quayside marinas. On the north coast of the island, there are many visitor buoys laid in Cala Fornells which are cheaper than marinas and well sheltered. If you want a full service berth in Mahon, you will likely have to book well ahead. You will have more chance of getting a berth in Addaya
