Sorry, mixing up threads!

But yes, most seacocks and skin fittings are brass. Even Blakes have been DZR for quite a few years now, I guess they were a tin bronze once. Many sold in chandleries are Tonval, which is a bog-standard brass.

We use the ole vinegar but i put a few drops of essential oil (Lavender or Geranium ) in now and then, smells real sweet.
