Those members who wish to support Ukrainian commerce and need a new anchor can combine their requirements. The fabricator who manufactures Viking's anchors in Kiev, the original Viking, on the right and the new model Odin, on the left, have accepted an order to manufacture new batches of anchors.
The fabricator's advised they have invested in some new equipment and can now buff down the edges of the cut steel and the bevel (rounding of the edges) will improve galvanising. (I'm sure there are technical terms for this - but they elude me
). The anchors are still made from SSAB's Hardox 450. To me its amazing this is all happening in a war zone.

The 2 flukes are very similar and the 2 anchors should perform similarly, as the shackle position is in the 'same' place. Testing of Odin shows it self rights, without the roll bar and the wings on the heel act as 'vertical' flukes and improve hold and stability in an oscillating wind.
For more detail contact Viking. I don't know how big their production runs will be, maybe that depends on President Putin, but hopefully they will be accepting advance expressions of interest.
