This is our first go at a video, it's the six week holiday spent sailing around the East Coast this summer. Maybe needs more actual sailing photos but we visited some beautiful anchorages. The moonshine shot at the end is for real, I've never seen moonlight as bright as that.

Wow, that's a great video, seems you must have been one of the few that found some good weather windows :-)

Whether the Colvic is the greatest family boat might get disputed !!?? What about the Nauticat 331 ?

Dear Lazy Kipper,

Thank you for your pm, a copy of which is attached. I am sorry you feel that my post was and I quote:-
"utterly miserable and small minded"
...but I stand by my previous post.

Your "video" is a slide show with a few good shots in it. But as a video it's not very good. A video usually has actual video footage in it. A point you clearly have failed to grasp.

If you feel my comments are wrong then by all means disagree but please do so on the forum and refrain from sending me sh!tty PMs.

I have to agree with SailorBill that the piece was quite enjoyable to watch but not without faults, not least of which was the dreary music which caused me to mute it. AV shows can be very effective but I'm afraid I didn't stay for the end.

Kipper 1 Bill 0

My enjoyment of it was not marred by Kipper's words but the tranquility of this forum has been unecessarily ruffled. Have you got a real video of your sailing trip we can enjoy Bill?

I agree. It's sad when you can't post an opinion without receiving a sh!tty pm.

Why, have you?

Do you think I would post a video on here so Lazy Kipper and his supporters could rip it apart? Stupid I am not  But I do know the difference between a slide show and a video.

OP I think we passed you heading up to Woodbridge at the end of July - you were anchored at the rocks? It was a simply gorgeous week weather wise, and my first trip up the Deben - I can really see why so many people love it. Great video btw!

That was us then, we had the first few days at the Rocks before heading down to Heybridge Basin I think. It was a perfect week's weather, even the wallet was benign on the way down - but not on the way back

The best bit was Butley Creek, we anchored just inside then took the dinghy up the rest of the way, I see why Dylan raved about it.
