Hi folks. My setup consists of 2 x 3000/24 Victron Phoenix Inverters, 4 x 200ah AGM batteries, a Victron charger and a BMV-602S battery monitor.

The batteries are quite new (less than 18 months) and have not been abused. Most of the time the boat is connected to a shore supply and the batteries kept topped up constantly.

Ok my question. We've been cruising this week and I notice that the inverter cuts out with a low battery warning when the BMV says we are still 75% full. So clearly something is out of sync - either the inverter thinks the battery level is low when it is not, or the BMV is estimating very badly indeed.

Nothing else indicates a low battery - the lighting, fridge and electric toilets still run fine for example, although the lighting is all LED which tolerates ridiculous voltage variation so hard to read much into that.

Can anyone give me any clues how to troubleshoot this? I've read the manuals and understand most of them but I'm not too experienced with this technology.

Thanks to anyone who can help
