I would just like to advise one and all that as per Ofcom radio licence documentation I have just mounted my new licence disc.

I was on my own when I did this and it feels so good I'm going to have another Bacardi and Coke.

Hi Steve,

We've switched now from Bacardi to Mountgay - it's a much nicer rum - try it! Bacardi shares must have fallen since we've stopped buying it!

[/ QUOTE ] I bet that was a nasty shock to it! I hope no one was watching. Did it fake an orgasm?

Seriously that should be the last time you will have to do it as it will not be required if/when the new system comes into effect.

do not try the Coop fairtrade /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

still got a hangover

cheers Joe

Steve,

As soon as we can we're gonna be there! Steve and Kath are revving up to go which just makes it more difficult to persuade ourselves that we should stay for just X more years to bolster the cruising kitty!

You can do it for a long weekend and stay onboard. C'mon; you know it makes sense!

Day 1
Join us in Marina de Denia
Welcome aboard and the obligitory safety briefing.
Slip Marina de Denia and sail south towards Javea
Anchor off in one of the picturesque bays for lunch, swimming, fishing, sunbathing.
Up anchor and continue south towards Moraira and Calpe and take a marina berth for the night and go ashore for a meal.
Back on board and get the drinks out- discuss Pink Floyd

Day 2
Depart the marina and head north towards Denia
Anchor off in another bay for lunch
Sail back to Marina de Denia, arriving mid evening
Onboard review of the two days and more drinks

Only disadvantage; piccies will end up on the web-site!!

As I understand it you will still need one, you just won't have to pay for it if you get it online.

[/ QUOTE ] Sorry my point was that under the new system you will not have to display it.

ah! That kind of "out here" Well yes - but if I do that just once I just know that I'm gonna have to "sell up and sail" immediately!

I'll discuss with Deborah and revert.

Can I just say that I am very much enjoying working my way through the bottle of Arundel rum from Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Isles, that I bought last year?

I don't like rum usually and it was bought for cocktails, but it's oak-aged and bloody lovely.

regretfully I don't have any rum bottles that I bought last year......... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

as many on here know Mountgay is the 'house' rum onboard but the odd bottle of cask, usually from Trinidad, is savoured as an alternative to malts. Also bought 5 bottles in Spain last month imported from Cuba and around. 2 of the 5 opened have failed to impress to date.

Does anybody know of a specialist rum supplier? I find it impossible to buy anything other than the standard fayre in the high street/supermarket outlets.

Its old fashioned, but its called honesty and integrity, you might not agree with the law and have every right to try to get it changed but until it is, its the law.
