VHF antenna

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a VHF antenna around 2 metres in length to fit onto my radar arch about 14' above the water line but they all have between 4.5 to 6 metres of coax attached, I need 7 - 8 metres to get from the arch to the lower helm and don't want to join the additional bit on.

Does anyone know of a decent antenna with a longer length of coax or preferably one I can add my own length of low loss RG8?

The Shakespear Galaxy range come with 20ft of RG8 coax or the Phase 3 range are an SO239 fitting so would require your own coax run.

Look at the Danish AC Antennas Products - Marine | AC Antennas and ask these guys the get the model you want. They will pre-wire for you. http://www.fcmarine.co.uk/

Can't rate Jodey at FC Marine highly enough. He's sourced 4 antennas plus thread converters and mounts for me now. Equally the model CX4-1 antennas we're using for both VHF and AIS TX have been great.
