What's the best way to couple across the two bolts , small thin flexable wire or thick wire , the last one disappeared and I didn't notice till the prop whent pink !

Clamp it and keep it as close to centre with as little movement as possible. Perhaps a turn around the shaft. Reasonably thick (the wire not the strands), tinned, - yellow terminals.

+1 for braided. NOOO to thick wire. It will work harden over time and fail.
