Very shortsighted and binoculars/ monoculars

I have a heavy - 8 diopter prescription and struggle with binoculars as I can’t seem to compensate with the adjustment on the knurled wheel adjuster.
Has anyone in the same situation found a good solution?

I think your only real option is t find a pair that you can use with your spectacles, although I just wonder if it would be possible to have small -8 diopter correction lenses not unlike hard contact lenses that could be fitted permenantly to the ocular. Oculars, talk to your friendly optician.

Before having implants to replaced my cataracts my prescription was -11D and -8D. I managed to find binoculars with enough focusing adjustment by going to a shop with plenty to try out. Surprisingly there were big variations between what were identical types.
