Does anyone know a source other than ebay? it's for home architectural use so s/s quality is unimportant, only the price matters as I need lots.

If it's just galvanised stuff, as used for fencing etc, try local hardware shop, builders' merchants, B&Q, Homebase, Screwfix etc. I bought some from a builders' merchant in Gosport [Covers Ltd?]

The Chandlery Barge at Bursledon on the Hamble has very cheap secondhand bottlescrews . Some of them come pre-stretched as well ( threads distorted ) .
I had to buy four to get two that were good enough to use (no they dont hold up the mast, just pull the deck down from below on a GK24 ) . Of course you have to find them amidst the other c**p.
You may also end up with the rigging wire and a rusted up outboard motor that took your fancy ....
