I have a cunning plan to use a velux window blind on my coachroof hatch. Not only are they good value, they do a combi model with pleated sunshade and a blackout blind in the same unit. Size wise it should be a perfect fit for an MK04 window blind. My aperture is about 605mm and the glass size on a Velux MK04 is 603mm. What I don't know, and Velux technical can't help, is the size of the Velux blind cassette. As the timber frame on a Velux angles out slightly the blind is probably slightly larger than the 603 glass size.

So, if anyone perchance has an MK04 or an M04 Velux window it would be really great to know the width of the frame at its edge/widest point so I can check it's no more than 605.

TIA

Thanks I did speak to them but the equivalent unit is about £500 whereas the Velux comes in around £100.

I have the very same window and blind. Works brilliantly. In a house :-)

The window frame at that point is 610 +/- 1 mm. The blind cartridge is 615 +/- 1 mm as it overlaps the frame a little. The glass is 603mm as you say. I have an MK04.
