Varnish

We are in Thailand and have come across a very good spar varnish that we use for full gloss finish.
Is there a additive we can use to convert it from full gloss to matt (silk) finish. Have heard that kerosine (paraffin) can be used. What is the ratio.

You can get matting agents for some materials. Why don't you check with the manufacturer?

There is a trick of going over it with wire wool and wax polish. Never tried it but i have seen the results. Not suitable for outside I guess but it works well on furniture.
