V40 or T39???

Well, you know its that time again and everyone is looking at the balances and trying to decide what to do before the tax man gets hold of the hard earned cash,or in some cases new ways in which to loose an amount of tax deductable income, Its now time to look at further fields, while very happy with my current chosen method of playing in the solent, I find myself needing a new mode of water transport to carry the latest toys and keep up with the Moose's, Questors, and Wigo's of this world. So I have decided to think bigger boat will mean bigger tender that will mean bigger engine or what the hell a jet boat. So my current dilema is to either stay with Fairline and go for a Targa 39, or move to the pipe and slippers(Wait for the insults) and go for a Princess V40? I saw a nice V40 today and she had shafts.... steady on.... so as I am need of divine guidence shoudl I become old before my years and go with a V40, or continue to wait for the Targa and keep my youth what I have left?

The floor is open for supreme guidence and advice, let the battle commence

And why are you trying to "keep up with the Moose's Questors...e.t.c" Boating isn't a competition to see who has the best tender e.t.c e.t.c Just buy the boat "You" want, Don't get persuaded to buy something else cos' it looks flashy, buy it cos' you want it.

V40 pipe & slippers where did you get that from? elsewhere on this forum some misguided folks were talking about flybridges being "pipe & slippers" now a V40
what ever next

I feel I must protest in the strongest possible terms. Ok, I've got some grey hair, but I'm the right side of forty by quite a good margin.

A v40 on shafts is the dog's undercarriage IMHO. We looked at a T39 and a V40 on the same day - my observations were T39 a little dated and not as well put together especially in the cockpit dept. V40, sleaker, more modern, more beautiful looking, more gorgeously pleasing to the eye all round, neater finish, cleaner lines inside and out, and on shafts! The rest is history.

V40 and T39 same style of boat, same designer, same layout, just 1Ft difference in length approx, hows does that become pipe and slippers?

when I spoke to him this morning, he couldn't find his a*se with both hands and a mirror. This is clearly a wind up, Ian. A pathetic attempt to sow discord and confusion among those who feel no need to demonstrate their masculinity by repeated attempts to prove whose tender is faster.

Hagrid, forget it, mate. Reply to the spam. You never know, it may add those missing inches after all...
