Urban Grimshaw and the Shed Crew
Bernard Hare
A grim, sometimes funny, sometimes touching and often shocking factual view of inner city life written in novel style. Warning, not for the squeamish!
The author, ‘Chop’, is no hero and the children he writes about many would describe as ‘scrotes’. The lifestyle described is brutal. The tale is set in the worst parts of Leeds but could just as well be any run down inner city area in the UK.
It is worth reading and will be a real eye-opener for many, just don’t expect to feel too comfortable!
