Ah OK understood. I'll remember that when I'm cooking my British sausages and boiled sproutsit's crucial to carefully calibrate the temperature, possibly changing it rapidly, and/or you need to move the pan, possibly keeping it also slightly inclined for some time.
As I understand, this is what is practically impossible with electric hobs.
Mike, I thought you just rang ashore and then a man with a tender from the restaurant brought the food out to you?
Funny you should say that, because along our route there is one spot in Lastovo island where you don't even need to ring ashore.Mike, I thought you just rang ashore and then a man with a tender from the restaurant brought the food out to you?
LOL, every day is a school day. That's a new verb to include in my poor EN vocabulary...I am British and unreconstructed![]()

You just dock your boat right in front of the restaurant, place your order, and they bring you whatever you please straight from their kitchen to your flybridge.
It's not the only place like that in HR btw, but that's one of those which we don't want to miss during our route.
And I know for sure that also Deleted User enjoyed it in his Croatian days! :encouragement:
I think we need a bespoke threat on Med eating establishments and capture who delivers and who doesn't. I know that some of the Villefranche places do, but we haven't ever used any of them. We need some sort of builder like person to come along and make comment....
La Mer germaine might do as they run a tender service. I asked ‘The Builder’ but he says they go ashore.
LOL, 'course not. I already made the mistake of mentioning the island...Oh yes. Should I tell them where it is?
Perhaps not. Dont want the hoi polloi knowing about the place
Fab blog and a wonderful adventure
PS: as an aside, I'm always impressed at how the Fer 53 (as well as some other models of the same vintage) still looks very modern, 20 years or so after she was designed. They really did something right, back in those days.
Btw, I'm told that after the financial hangover, they are now back to proper boatbuilding principles... Good for them! :encouragement:
From an engineer involved (as a subcontractor) with the 920 construction. And before you ask, nope, he wasn't hoping to sell me one!Where did you hear about that?

I guess that since also jfm mentioned in some post that model as one of his current favorites confirms that it can't be too bad...
Well, who cares if it doesn't?Mmm, lets hope that new philosophy trickles down to the cheaper models
Actually the more I think about it the more I don't!Go ahead M, book your slot. You know you want to...!![]()
