to navigating in restricted waters, we are moving tomorrow from the open seas off Devon, to the sheltered calms of Chertsey.
Given that we only have one propellor and six fenders, a group of well wishers have raised funds and bought us:
1 a gallon of flurorescent orange paint so that we can be easily seen by experienced boaters
2 a small flashing reindeer for the top of wheel house, for ditto reasons
3 the inflatable parts of a spare RIB, to soften the anticipated meetings
4 a small umbrella stand, and a mat, coir, shoes for the scraping of.
As from Monday, insch'allah, I shall be resident on board, just off the river, and hope to start research on a seminal volume, whose working title is " ColRegs and Thames Pub Signs: a correlation."
