they were selling the hanging copper anodes kit at this year's sydney boat show. From what I could get out of the salesman, the copper anodes are consumed but it takes a couple of years. Not sure where the cathode goes. He said that the field created between the electrodes was just as important as the copper ions flowing between them. None of the documentation was detailed. Maybe the polarity reverses so the electrodes become anode and cathode alternately. The system was quite expensive, targeted at big mobos because of its ability to protect props. Anodes also expensive. A special kind of copper only available from them.
