I purchased an ULTRA 16kg anchor card pattern from Ultra. I think it was £10. Would like to sell. Can Post as it is folded.

I also have a 9mm ply pattern that I made from it because although the card version is accurate, it is a bit wobbly. Will be selling that shortly also. Delivery would be challenging and not cheap. I'm in Torquay, Devon

Thanks, for looking.... Tim

I relish the chance to participate in another anchor thread. Why do Ultra charge when Rocna offer their library for free? Printed mine on separate A4 sheets and stuck them to a doubled up sheet of cardboard.

Anchor Dimensions
Best ask Rocna that question. I can’t quite remember, but I think perhaps the option of a file to print was available, but I preferred to have a physical items supplied for accuracy. I asked a quick look at the website confirm.

If you’re used to eating that junk, you probably could do with losing a few pounds.

I offered something For Sale that may be useful for someone. Why the unpleasant response?
I think Ultra an excellent anchor - it does what is says on the box and sets off your bow, beautifully. It really needs to be paired with a stainless anchor chain, of the appropriate quality and a stainless windlass.

Given the cost of an Ultra anchor (plus chain and windlass) my thoughts are that the Ultra dealer should be comfortable in coming to your vessel with an anchor of the appropriate size(s), one the right size, one a bit smaller and one a bit bigger and try them. In addition to the anchors he should have with him shackles and a swivel in case they are needed.

How you can sell such an expensive item without offering a service beggars belief.

So - I would make it a condition of purchase that the dealer offered a service, negating any needs for flimsy cardboard cut outs

I do find it bizarre that Ultra charge for the paper/card cut out - but peop[e wanting a bit of bling on their bow roller (I can think of 5 other anchors (see below, in no order), no bling, that have a similar technical performance, but maybe people who buy bling are prepared to pay for paper.

Vulcan, Viking, Odin, Excel, Spade (and Viking is said to be the best anchor internationally avaiiable - ever.!)
