I wonder if the increased publicity might lead to increased popularity of multihulls in uk waters? You hardly see them at all at the moment really. I know they're a bit ugly, but nothing that a designer couldn't sort out. I rather fancy a retro Harley Earl one in lurid pink with lots of chrome and eight foot tailfins.

With a multihull, there's lots of untapped boatnaming ideas too. Another idea (until the Caddy Cat above gets built) would be to to buy a smallish triamaran and call it "B&Q Garden Furniture Department" which will obv get shortend over the vhf on ch80 and hence get all the harbour staff rushing around organising free berthing with mucho bowing and scraping. This must be fine if "SameName" and "SameName of Sark" and "SameName of Near Sark Too" etc etc is okay as well, and there's almost no downside - a bit more complaining, and wearing oversized dungarees should do fine i reckon, and if there's any awkward questions I could just set off some champagne in their face and start weeping.
