UK Marine and Road fuel prices

I know that they don't have marinas in the UK on this site, but maybe you have something similar to http://MarineFuel.com that you can use? They have a marina database with real-time fuel pricing.

We have http://www.petrolprices.com/ but only for roads. Unless anyone knows of one for boats? Perhaps someone should suggest to Brendan (PetrolPrices.com) - he does house price one too - can't recall the URL...

This thread illustrates just how much it's gone up in less than 12 months however and 2008-9 even worse I think.

ahhh i see so what about the average day diesel cruiser?

Well thats pretty much it, 60/40 is for the average day cruiser - 60% intended for propulsion hence you pay full duty on this proportion and then 40% for heating, generators etc at rebated much lower duty rate. the complication comes if you are randomly checked (i havnt heard of such instance) and asked to declare / prove the proportion in which you purchased. provided you have a diesel heater or generator then 60/40 is deemed by hmrc acceptable apportionment by the average user. however if you have neither then you really need to be declaring 100% propulsion and dig deep to pay full duty at an extortionate total of £58.95ppl straight into the coffers! for what ? feeding immigrants, bailing out crooked bank execs, paying excessive MP expenditure and many more BL00DY ridiculous scams and schemes we all fall victim of. what really PI$$ES me is vat on duty, tax on tax. Thud.............sorry fell off high horse !had bad day got hump.
