UK Marine and Road fuel prices

Portland Marina 98p on 60/40 Spilt yesterday, discount for more than a 1000L available, but you need to ask.

25th May - Premier Brighton 92p 60/40 split and berth holders discount. Dont stack up ?

why red dye in white ?????

From my recollections of Refueller's professional advice postings, red and white are different products even ignoring the application of any dye. White these days is ultra low sulphur whereas the sulphur content in diesel intended to be sold as red can be higher. The cetane value in white will be higher than that of red. Whire is a better quality fuel although this is more relevant with more modern diesels. I suspect my old Perkins would run on the distllation from Dave Lister's socks, and certainly could not smoke more:-)

Paul if your going to Weymouth Iv heard there's a chap that sells it on the quayside cheap worth asking around,

Parkstone Bay Marina (Where I work) is £1.10 with the 60/40 split as of today.
I don't think that is enormously cheap, but does sound better than the bridge.

Andy is the chap in Weymouth.
He fills the local charter fishing boats and commercial vessels.
He's not necessarilly cheap, but is certainly good value.

He fills via a mini (transit van) tanker.
You'll need to call him to get him to come to you.
Anyone need his number PM me and I'll send it over.

150 L of pleasure marine diesel in StVaast 193 Euros (about a month ago) which is a little more than your Hypermarket price. 1.29 euros per L

Poolbeg marina Dublin this weekend....

80 cents (approx 70p) per litre for marine green diesel? so I filled up :)

Tom

PS Before somebody kindy points it out........ I know that Dublin isnt in the UK

I'm curious whether they asked for any details from you.

In Ireland you're supposed to pay the tax at the end of the year, so 80c is the before-tax price.

Just wonder what they're going to do about it for UK boats.

last week I ordered red for my business use I use it for generators and had 1500 lt of red at .51p a ltr and 2500 lt of white for the boat cough cough I mean lorries, and that was £1.09p ltr

The 51p is the price I got for what is a fairly small order so I would say marinas pay the same or a few pence cheaper.

Then I guess you have to add tax and more duty.

This is the HMRC view of the standard usage, 60% propulsion, 40% domestic, charged at different tax rates. Most suppliers charge at this rate unless you request otherwlse.
