In theory, Yes 2 Seagulls and an Evinrude, although one of the Seagulls has not actually be used for a good while and neither of the others since pre-pandemic days.

Yes, a tohatsu 3.5. Great little workhorse for the tender.

Supposedly only commercial businesses can purchase 2 strokes. But I managed to get a Tohatsu 5hp just last month with no issue.

I think my projected 2litres a year of fuel burn is less than the energy required to fuel the servers that are used to empower the Anti brigade for a year .. just noting , like?

Yamaha Malta plus a spare. Possibly used around 3 litres of fuel in it this year. Used more in the garden strimmer !

Yamaha 4hp. The half a dozen litres of fuel it uses is the equivalent of a fair bit of carbon that would be used to buy a 4 stroke replacement. And at least it’s 50:1 oil ratio rather than the oil slick spreading Seagull outboards we all used to run.

I have two Malta’s which will make one good one soon (around to it project ) and a good Yam 8hp which I really like but don’t use very often. I would sell if I ever get around to it due to the limited use I make of it.

I still use Tohatsu 9.8 HP. its only 27 kg which is about the same weight as 4hp four stroke with full integral tank.
I dropped it in while at anchor 2-3 years ago
kept held of it until my ears popped with the water pressure so 8-10 m ?

I had a rope attached and hauled it out.
rinsed it off with the deck shower
i Drained the float chamber ( manufactures had fitted a grub screw ready)
took both plugs out, pulled the starter several times with the plugs out
left it while we had lunch , put the plugs in and it started after 4/5 pulls

been as good as gold ever since, I thought it might go rusty over winter but started first time after another winter laid up .

i don’t use it much and believe environment better served by me retaining the old one saving all the pollution from manufacturing a new one

2 stroke all the way for dingys due to their lightness. 4 stroke for the larger due to economy and superb starting with injection

I have an Evinrude 4hp from 1985... Reliable, light, cheap and surprisingly good on fuel.
Light enough to carry in one hand and to clamp to the sides of the cockpit coaming when I need a tender on board.

Used on a 2.5m Waveline inflatable and a fibreglass dinghy/tender.

I also have a Tohatsu 9.8hp on a 2.9m Aluminium hull rib. Great engine and starts first time, every time. I’m tempted to upgrade to a used Yamaha 15hp 2 Stroke as the 9.8hp won’t plane with two large people onboard. Both models are getting scarce.
