The onward-trading two-part teak cleaner is ace, but costs an absolute bomb. I can get the same stuff in 1 gallon cartons, probly will cost about 30 quid or less for 4.5 litres of green and 4.5 litres of red instead er cripes it looks like 88 quid inc vat from onward trading.

If anyone is interested AND is either coming on the Hamble meet or can hook up with someone who is going, I can order a load wholesale, and drag it down in May. PM me.

This is the same stuff as "teak minus" and "teak plus" products based on oxalic acid, and somehow make the teak look utterly new. You dilute them up to bout ten times, so will last yonks. As sugested by others you don't really need a "stiff brush" - some fabulous chemical reaction takes place (NOT enzymes!) so on the teak patio i just whack the stuff on with a watering can and sweep it off with a soft brush. Possibly more care required for your pride and joy, and anyway it all works fab.

not quite the same

We all buy some teak cleaner cheap. Everyone can see how much I buy it for. The stuff actually demonstrably does what it claims. Don't mind if anyone buys it or not - other brand stuff does the same, its a simple chemcial formula. Anyone with an account could probably get the same stuff in bulk from the supplier as I did last time from Curtis marine. Contrast and compare this with your approach regarding soltron. Hm?

Dom,

You still coming to the meet? When Bigmart and I get bored of pretending to throw raggie vs. stinkie insults at each other, we can have a serious conversation about Soltron.

Yes. I've got loads of fabulously clean teak and yet am a very lazy giot. Anyway, not to worry, let's forget it. Was suposed to be of use, not a sales pitch. It's called teak plus/teak minus or similar branded copies. You can buy the stuff in 20 gallon packs.

Re: Now now.....

That was a fairly sensible attempt to get those interested some teak cleaner at wholesale prices. Pity you decided to validate the parallel made by another who uses the bb for commercial gain at every possible opportunity.

As I said - let's forget it - too much aggro!

Well all I know is, we looked at the swim platform and desided that it looked abit grotty. Tuts attacked it with the scrubbing brush AND IT WAS SLOW. sprinkled a bit of deck cleaner on. Its probably Vim Renamed or whatever. Bu8t dint it work. In no time Tutts had it looking like new.

Now my son is an expert at cleaning. Houses drains Trucks ect. He uses my garage as chemical store, It's got more chemical wepons in there than Iraq ever new about. I ask him if I can use them on the boat. He tells me yes. But dilute to xyz. I'm looking for some one to practice on. LJS are you around!!!!
