No, orientation lock is off. All info screens, menus, etc are only shown in portrait regardless of how the pad is turned! Most tiresome!
Are you using the HD version of the app? I don't think the iPhone version has landscape menus, only the iPad HD version.

Before you rush in and update to V7 check out this post
http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?398610-Navionics-update-beware!
Have had no replies from emails sent to Navionics or Raymarine.
Last I know is the chap from Panbo was told by his source that they're working on bringing back the feature, but as usual, no promises. I've ended up with the newer version on my iPad and the older version on my iPhone. Create route on iPad, sync it with iPhone, then sync iPhone with plotter. Faff, but at least it gets the job done.

Unfortunately my ipad and iPhone were updated before I got the above warning. The good news is that I am fairly confident that I haven't synced it with my computer - the bad news is that my computer has crashed - can't seem to win. Will probably have to wait until hopefully they update the app. Raymarine is still advertising the ability to sync routes with ipad!!!

Indeed. I told them about this, and they informed me they'd advise their "communications department". Clearly that has gone unheard.

False advertising. If only a few people would return a few grand's worth of kit after discovering the feature is missing, then that may spur them on to sort it, or at the very least be more honest about what's going on.

New download on iTunes this morning. Haven't installed it yet.

But the description says...

All Navionics Marine or Marine & Lakes apps are aligned and renamed Navionics Boating

● A Navionics+ subscription now includes Navionics Nautical Charts, SonarCharts™ and Community Edits. It also provides 12 months of chart updates. After the 12 months expire you retain your charts and have the option to renew your subscription to updates.

● Your charts have been upgraded to Navionics+!

● US Government Charts now appear as originally presented in the unaltered nautical charts published by official government sources.

● With Plotter Sync, if you have a Wi-Fi enabled Raymarine, you can update your plotter charts while on your boat or even expand the area. Check compatibility and other requirements at navionics.com/plotter-sync. NOTE: the previous feature for transferring routes, tracks and waypoints to and from Raymarine chartplotters has temporarily been removed from our apps in order to be optimized. It will be restored in the next months.

● Bug fixing and optimization.

At least they've finally come clean about this. Unfortunately, it looks like the route/waypoint sync feature won't return until next season. Unless I managed to miss it, track sync never existed.

Although some people with the old Navionics Marine UK & Holland version can evidently see the new tidal arrows on the chart display, I am certainly unable to on a Samsung Galaxy Notepad. Have to select the tidal range icon before getting any tidal direction arrows and not on the main map screen. The update option within the software points you to newer software releases, not additions to the existing software, the last one of which that I can trace was the advanced map options one.

I'm not getting them on iPad or iPhone either. I have the latest version installed (14/7/14).

I had not noticed until reading through this thread how Navionics has changed recently. This will involve me in some updating obviously. I like the improvements. Seems they listened to my comments. For the gen on the previous versions, visit routelist.co.uk.
