May one suggest an application of Plus Gas a few hours before the task in hand. Works very well at saving bruised knuckles/fingers/foreheads/toes (please delete where applicable)
Works very well indeed.
Yours, a smug git.

Hlb, give yourself a pat on the back for mending the tube at all!! When my mowers front tyre needed mending I replaced the tube 3 times with new ones. Each time, despite best efforts to avoid, the tube would knick somewhere getting the tyre over the small rim and go flat. I gave up and took the wheel to my regular tyre shop and asked if they could mend it. 15 minutes later it was repaired and hasn't gone flat since. Apparently they get quite a few like that and have become expert dealing with the small rims. Oh yes, the salt on the wound....all they used were two screwdrivers.

"ten pair of underpants".......don't you think thats rather OTT. You obviuosly have way too much money. Normal people get by with 3 pairs!
