Hi i have a boat with twin perkins. And 3 battery banks at 24volt
Bank 1 start batteries
Bank 2 service batteries
Bank 3 inverter batteries

Would anyone be able to offer the best solution to charging these batteries from both engines so that they all get equal charge. And if one engine was to fail the other engine would still be able to charge the 3 banks
Many thanks

A Victron Argofet connected to each alternator.

You could just connect each alternator to the start battery. The charge may end up un even but that may not matter much. On the other hand twin engined aircraft use a balance regulator specifically to equalise charge /load on alternators. it looks like Balmar do a balance regulator but quite expensive. The service and inverter batteries should be charged via VSR or similar. ol'
