Beware that 12° East is east of south! Caught me out with a know-all neighbour in the south of France!

Divorced as I was from a compass, I used the sun to set up my dish. The shadow of the supporting mast on the wall gave a very precise indication (much to know-all's irritation!).

it's geostationary on the equator over 12 deg East. How far east of south this appears to be depends on your latitude, longitude and altitude at the time.

As a matter of interest I see that Aldi has a portable HD sat system on offer for £60 from Sunday. 3 year waranty as well!

Only because it blends in with most boats a bit better than the black ones.
