I wonder what the figures are for alcoholism on round the world yachting cruises, shareing an anchour age with tens of yachts in the Caribbean must wear?
Don’t have a TV on board, and wouldn’t fit one, but as I always have my IPad I’ve got just about the same if I’ve got a mobile signal.Concerto’s latest post had me
musing about television on board.
I love not having TV on my boat; I see it as a haven from the blasted gogglebox, where in our leisure moments we can read, play cards or bananagram, or even just talk. I really can’t imagine ever wanting to install a set on board.
How about you chaps ?
I can, if I am in a marina with half decent WiFi, but rarely in a marina and usually the WiFi is far from decent.I wonder if folks that do not watch or own a TV still watch stuff on Youtube ?
It's fun watching a film on Youtube that's been dubbed into a different language.
You're right. On reflexion I think it was David Sadler.I’ve heard that story. But pretty sure it wasn’t Jeremy.
Having a tv is not essential, just a small luxury. It was a small Medion from Aldi for about £120 and has a DVD player and connections for many other devices, plus it can run on 12V.Concerto’s latest post had me

I recently fitted a smart tv on board and as someone who doesnt watch it at home I find I have used it quite a bit. Handy as a repeater for plotter, watching netflix, youtube etc
